Effect of Mothers¡¯ Identification on Nutrition Labelling to Children¡¯s Obesity

Abstract
Recently, obesity in children and adolescents has become a major issue all over the world, while there are a few researches about the impacts of parents` behavior on children`s obesity. This research investigates impacts of mothers` identification of nutritional labelling to their children`s obesity. In this study, the 5th National Health Survey conducted in 2011 are used, and propensity score matching is applied to reduce selection bias. The result shows that mother`s identification of nutrition labelling reduces children`s obesity measured by BMI Z Score and waist line.
